Spruce Lake Industrial Park Expansion
The city of Saint John is seeking to redesignate Rural Resource land to Heavy Industry in order to expand of the Spruce Lake Industrial Park in Lorneville. This proposal would clear-cut more than 1500 acres of forest, fill in 200 acres of wetlands along the Bay of Fundy, and put a heavy industrial site in the backyards of Lorneville residents.
Lorneville residents are organizing under the “Save Lorneville” banner. They are asking for the greater community to support their efforts. Submit your comment to the city and province before May 10, 2025!
